"The planters have been a great success. They were alive with hoverflies today! Just caught a glimpse of something crawling into one of the bug hotels too though not long enough to see exactly what it was. They've been really popular with visitors too with feedback including: "Very special and lovely to see the nature" and "Very nice and interesting for all ages and a clever watering scheme. Terry is lovely to work with and we're so grateful for all his help."

"Our initial plans were to develop a rain garden at the school. However, understandable concerns regarding the ongoing maintenance implications of the garden led to us seeking alternative solutions that would help with rainwater retention and enhance the biodiversity of their grounds. The BluWater Solutions SuDS planters provided a low maintenance solution that still met the project objectives."

"The SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) planters are a fantastic addition to the youth centre, without these additions it was touch and go whether we would get the planning over the line as we had to meet biodiversity requirements and sustainability for nature in the area. The planters also help us to educate young people about nature & habitats, the planters have built-in bug hotels and bee hotels, the water run off from the nature roof runs into the planters where we have planted herbs, tomato plants and flowers. "We are a school situated in the centre of a child psychiatric ward, therefore it is tricky for us do things easily with our students and opportunities for bringing nature into the school day are limited. The SuDs planter has been a revelation for us. It has only been a few weeks and already we have wildflowers blossoming and birds drinking in the reservoir at the top which staff and children can see through the window. We have also never had an afternoon like the one where Terry came to work with the students. We have difficult restrictions due to being within a hospital yet Terry still managed to have staff and children catching insects in nets, squelching their feet in bogland, discovering bees, and finding a hedgehog on the grounds.
