The Hydrorock Planter System is highly versatile, offering flexible design, installation and operation. It suits urban spaces like apartments and offices, as well as private homes and non-urban areas.
Installation is straightforward:
- in any planter type – professionally purpose-built or adhoc DIY
- in any planter size – varying block numbers and sizes according to water capacity needs
- in any configuration – irregular shaped planters, piped and un-piped systems
- for a range of applications – disconnecting buildings from sewers, harvesting rainwater, slowing runoff, utilising grey water, greening urban areas, irrigation

Design detailing
Hydrorock planters are designed to fit each project’s scale, plants, and climate. The blocks absorb rainwater to prevent runoff and slowly release it for irrigation in dry conditions.
Installation
- Hydrorock natural aquifer blocks are lightweight and easy to handle making configuration and installation safe and straightforward.
- Planters can be designed to be fed by down pipe or to deal with direct exposure to rainfall.
- They can be manually topped up in dry conditions.
- After installation, routine maintenance is not required.
